GalaBau

Our green roof systems as technical solutions were a splash of colour at the international Galabau Fair held in Nuremberg. Among the range of the Diadem® brand family, the DiaSafe® with Amoeba-shaped damping plate, and the DiaSafe® Loop were the absolute star products. We have already reported on our latest developments in our previous newsletter. At the fair, 180 new business cards were collected, nearly 300 successful meetings took place and we met hundreds of interested people who were curious about our unique DIADEM® green roof systems and our DiaSafe® fall protection systems.

Green Expo – Győr

In October, we also presented ourselves on home turf. With our green roof systems, we participated in the second Green Expo in Győr. At this event, we spoke mainly to young people about the advantages of green roofs, their positive ecological and economic effects, energy efficiency, efficient rainwater management, noise protection and the creation of quality living spaces on roofs.

Bratislava Expo

At the conference in Bratislava called “Green roofs for more resilient cities”, our colleagues meet with architects, representatives of local governments and state administration, construction contractors, and water protection specialists. We participate in the event together with our key partner Landart s.r.o in Slovakia.

 

Events – conferences

Green Building Structures conference

We held a presentation in front of a professional audience at the Green Building Structures conference in Budapest. Our company was also the main sponsor of the event. The key topics of the event organized by the Hungarian Association of Building Insulators, Roofers, Tinsmiths and Carpenters (ÉMSZ) were the design rules and construction issues concerning green roofs, the significance of waterproofing and thermal insulation, the importance of the planting medium and vegetation, the presentation of special green roofs, and some realized projects were also presented. In his presentation, our managing director, Péter Csizmadia, spoke, among other things, about conscious roofs and the use of rock wool in the design of green roofs.

Building Engineering Conference – Flooded roofs

Our managing director, Péter Csizmadia, will present the development from green roofs to conscious roofs through a presentation. Our colleagues have provided informative materials for those interested in further details.

One Sip of Business – Chamber breakfast

Special location – special guests! Entrepreneurs, company managers, consultants and experts working in the widest range of corporate life came to us for a business breakfast organized by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Győr-Moson-Sopron County. Our company happily hosted the event with a pleasant atmosphere. We hope that our showroom as an exciting location inspired the participants to build their relationships and gain useful knowledge.

 

Awards – recognitions

Family-friendly Workplace

We are very proud that the Family-Friendly Hungary Center – after a strict audit – awarded our company the Family-Friendly Workplace trademark. The average age of our company’s employees is around 40 years old, and we work with many young professionals. We believe that a balanced family life results in increased performance at work, so we have taken many minor and major measures to make it easier for our young people to reconcile their work and family obligations.

Lovable Workplace

We can be proud of our company not only as an expert in green roofs and as a family-friendly workplace, but now also as a lovable one. This year, Diadem® – A.P.P. Kft. also won the Lovable Workplace award in Hungary, in the medium-sized category. After 2017/2018, we won the prestigious award for the second time in 2022. A total of 1,700 companies competed in the competition and more than 72,000 votes were cast.

DIADEM® Family

At the year-end Christmas party, we looked back on the busy months of Diadem® – A.P.P. Ltd. with good feelings. We have a whole series of professional events behind us. We had exhibitions, held lectures, won awards and supported a good cause.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Roofing World Championship Switzerland, gold level sponsor

Our company also contributed to the fact that the Hungarian team was able to “line up behind the start line” in St. Gallen, at the World Championship of Young Roofers. As a GOLD level sponsor, we supported the preparation and participation of the young Hungarians. At the end the Hungarian tinsmith team won the valuable silver medal at the Swiss World Championship.
